Securing a Successful Engagement with Our Implementation Partners

Securing a Successful Engagement with Our Implementation Partners

The successful implementation of an ERP or other Business System is critical to the long-term success of your clients and to the relationship you establish and maintain with them. When you recommend LTA to assist your clients with their Business System implementation, we will ensure successful project completion - managing to scope, schedule, budget, and methodology.

Why LTA?

We are project management and business process experts. We manage the critical components of change – people, process, work culture and strategy – to support business technology implementations.

As the software implementation partner, your work on a system deployment is complex and technical. Your project manager knows how to identify and manage all your tasks, timelines and deliverables. And they do so consistently and effectively.

However, as you know, easily two-thirds of project work on an implementation is up to the client. This includes hundreds of tasks in dozens of areas and all project phases. Many of these tasks are critical path items. Most share dependencies with other activities or deliverables.

By working closely with your project manager and consultants, LTA can support the client in all critical path items. These include but are not limited to:

  • Business Process Reengineering - define optimal future-state functionality and improved business processes
  • Infrastructure setup - ensure that the IT infrastructure is prepared for the new Business System
  • Project Organization - includes setting up and managing project and organizational roles and responsibilities
  • Organizational Change Management - define and manage the tools and approach for ensuring the organization as a whole, is prepared for the process and technology changes
  • Change Control - define and manage internal project change request and approval processes
  • Risk Management - define and manage the tools and processes for identifying, managing and escalating issues and risks
  • Communications Management - define and execute internal and external communications plans
  • Configuration Management - support the client in defining and documenting software configuration decisions which support future-state business requirements
  • Report Planning – define new or modified forms, documents and reports
  • Master Data Planning - define the requirements, timing, process, and tools for extracting, converting and loading master data
  • Integration Planning - assist the client in defining, designing, and implementing the integration of new and peripheral systems
  • Test Planning - includes:
    • Writing test scripts for all unit-level and process-level testing
    • Planning and running Conference Room Pilots
    • Planning and running User Acceptance Testing
  • End User Training Planning - includes assisting the client with logistics and documentation for delivering End User Training

Most clients do not have specific expertise or experience managing an implementation project. As you know, this is a very specialized skill. LTA has done this for over 20 years. We can ensure successful project completion managing to scope, schedule, budget and proven methodologies, while reducing risk and securing a referenceable engagement for you and your team.
